Ranal maa temple trust has been working towards creating a no plastic zone. The trust also maintains gardens and parks with lush green surroundings in the vicinity and encourages others to do the same. Trees have been planted along the one kilometre road that leads to the temple which is also maintained by the trust.
The waste from the coconut offererings is also recycled and is used to make manure which is then used in the gardens of the temple. To avoid the trouble created by flies and mosquitoes during monsoons, the trust has arranged for proper disposal of water from the canal just outside the temple vicinity by coordinating with the local water supply department.
The trust champions the cause of no - waste and tries to recycle and reuse as and when possible.
A 'chabutro' has been built by the trust wherein thousands of birds take refuge and keep the surroundings lively.
